'Whoops-a-Daisy Angel' KG Nativity Production 2019

Body

Parents, friends and Byron House children were treated to a charming Nativity performance from the two Kindergarten classes with this year鈥檚 production, Whoops-a-Daisy Angel. While the angels in Heaven are busy going about their special duties efficiently and smoothly, Whoopsie, a slightly accident-prone angel who is never trusted with the important jobs, finds himself counting snowflakes again. This year, however, things are different: God Himself charges Whoopsie with the task of telling the world about the imminent birth of Jesus, the Saviour of the World. In spite of a few mishaps, including some rather bumpy landings and some very frightened shepherds to name but a few, Whoopsie excels in his role and, for once, gets it right.

The entire production was an enormous success. Many spectators were struck by the poise of such young children who acquitted themselves with confidence and, in many cases, considerable volume. The light-hearted and informal atmosphere established through a number of superb comedic turns from Whoopsie, the Three Kings and the Shepherds, was augmented by the songs that were entwined into the stage action, with the song of the Snowflakes being a particular high point for many parents.

This year鈥檚 Kindergarten production proved to be a stellar addition to a long tradition of 欧美自拍鈥檚 nativities and the play sets the bar high for many shows to come. One Kindergarten child enthused, 鈥淚 sang a song with the other snowflakes and we had to flutter off the stage. It was fun!鈥
